Former President of Armenia Kocharian ready to participate in elections, if they are held

The former President of Armenia Robert Kocharian will participate in the early elections of the Prime Minister of the republic, if they take place. He stated this at a press conference in Yerevan.

“If there are early elections, I will participate. I think I have enough experience. <…> Am I confident in my victory? At least I have not lost in elections yet,” Kocharian said.

However, according to Kocharian, there is only one legal mechanism for early elections: Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan must resign, then his faction must not elect a new prime minister twice. After that, the process of early elections is launched.

Kocharian also added that he does not intend to create his own political party.
