Ruth Porat

Ruth Porat is an American financial executive, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Alphabet Inc. as well as its subsidiary Google.

Porat worked as CFO and Executive Vice President of Morgan Stanley from January 2010 to May 2015.

Porat was born in 1987 to a Jewish family in Sale, Cheshire, England. She moved to Massachusetts, US where her father was a research fellow in the physics department at Harvard University.

Porat has a Bachelor of Arts/Science, Stanford University; Master of Business Administration, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School; Master of Science, London School of Economics.
