Sextortion’ the new online blackmail Cybercrime booming in the Philippines using a fake model on social network chat to extort 100 thousand men worldwide.

Criminal groups use fake-profile with attractive girls’ images on major social networks to lured men and then ask for more intimate video chat.

What the victim doesn’t know is that the girls are not real they are prerecorded video programmed to obey a command.

Also, these video chats are recorded and are followed by the threat to put the video online unless the victim pays off.

This form of cybercrime is increasingly spreading in South East Asia where access to the cheap Internet and inefficient cyber-security enforcement has made it easier to perpetrate this crime.
