Sundar Pichai

Pichai, who was formerly working as the Product Chief of Google, assumed Google’s leadership on 2 October 2015, as part of the restructuring strategy that made Alphabet Inc. into Google’s parent company.

Born on 10 June 1972, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, he earned a degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering, a M.S. from Stanford University in material sciences and engineering, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Pichai also worked as management consultant at McKinsey. Pichai joined Google in 2004, where he led product management and innovation division to enhance Google’s software products, including Google Chrome and Chrome OS.

Pichai is married to Anjali Pichai and has two children.

Pichai’s interests include cricket and football.
